It collects and interprets various elements of Nova Scotia’s marine history. Visitors are introduced to the age of steamships, local small craft, the Royal Canadian & Merchant Navies, World War II convoys & The Battle of the Atlantic, the Halifax Explosion of 1917, and Nova Scotia’s role in the aftermath of the Titanic disaster.
  • Enjoy dinner this evening at a local hot spot then check-in to your hotel.
Day Two:
  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then depart for your Halifax guided sightseeing tour.
  • Halifax is the provincial capital of Nova Scotia and a major business center also known for its maritime history. On this guided tour, you’ll visit the breathtaking Halifax Public Gardens which boast ornate fountains, a bandstand, statues, urns, and a magnificent wrought iron entrance. See the Fairview Lawn Cemetery and also on this tour, you’ll visit the final resting place of the victims who perished when the RMS Titanic sank in the early morning of April, 15th, 1912. There will also be plenty of time to explore the bustling Halifax waterfront.
  • Depart for a visit to Peggy's Cove, see how it encompasses the shores of St. Margaret's Bay and offers a broad range of attractions and experiences. The region is known for its hiking trails, kayaking adventures, whale watching, birding activities, golf courses, and pristine beaches.
  • Enjoy dinner included then return to the hotel for the evening.
Day Three:
  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning.
  • Depart for our Fort Anne National Historic Site visit. Fort Anne is a four-bastion fort built to protect the Annapolis Royal harbor. The fort repelled all French attacks during the early stages of King George's War in the 1740s.
  • Travel by ferry to Saint John, the oldest incorporated city in Canada, established by royal charter on May 18, 1785, during the reign of King George II.
  • Enjoy dinner included this evening then return to the hotel.
Day Four:
  • Enjoy breakfast this morning at the hotel then depart for your director-led sightseeing tour of Saint John.
  • Learn about the city’s heritage and visit some of its most iconic locations with your tour director. The Saint John City Market, the oldest continuing market in Canada, first opened in 1876 and runs the length of a city block—be sure to look up when you enter the building, the ceiling’s rafters look like a ship’s hull! The Loyalist Burial Ground was established after the landing of the United Empire Loyalists in 1783. It hasn’t been used as a cemetery since 1848, instead, locals stop here to enjoy the beautiful gardens and take a break from the bustling city. In 1849, a post containing three red gas lamps, called the Three Sisters Lamp, visible for three miles seaward, was stationed at the end of Prince William Street. If the three red lamps appeared individually, sailors would know they were heading straight into the harbor, however if only one or two could be seen, sailors knew they needed to alter their course.
  • Travel to Moncton via Fundy National Park. Fundy’s wilderness is famous for its rugged cliffs and river valleys. During your time in the park you’ll visit Hopewell Rocks and explore the Dickson Trail, which features one of the most recognizable and photographed waterfalls of Fundy National Park.
  • Dinner is included this evening then return to the hotel.
Day Five:
  • Enjoy breakfast this morning then travel to Charlottetown.
  • Depart on your Charlottetown sightseeing tour. Your director will lead you on an in-depth tour of Prince Edward Island’s largest city.
  • Sample the many fine Victorian features and fascinating stories nestled in the Beaconsfield Historic House, one of Charlottetown’s most elegant homes.
  • The Confederation Centre of the Arts is Canada’s official memorial to the founding fathers and is where you’ll find a startlingly realistic replica of the original Confederation Chamber, where the 1864 Charlottetown Conference discussions led to the creation of a country.
  • Walk along Historic Great George Street and enjoy Victoria Park, where visitors often enjoy peaceful walking trails, a beautiful harbor-front boardwalk, colorful displays of flowers and much more.
